When you visit the museum, you cannot forego a stop at the terrific museum shop. With a broad assortment of items from around the world for young and old, you can always find something extraordinary.
Small gift items like beads, pins, notebooks and good luck charms, or world-class design such as the magnificent bowls made by the West-African Touaregs or Peruvian pottery. In addition to an assortment that is often updated, guests to the museum shop will always find a table of products corresponding to the temporary exhibition. As part of the current Maya exhibition, the museum staff took a trip to Mexico and made purchases there specially for the museum shop. Maya horoscope products and pottery made by Maya artists are available. Not only that, also food made from honey, maize husks, maize flour and spicy peppers. The museum shop also has a small collection of books – travel books and migrant literature, cookbooks, photography books and children’s books.
The shop has the same hours as the museum does. You can also take a look around the shop without visiting the museum and without paying museum admission.
