The European Ethnology Museums Directors Group provides a forum for interaction between directors of large ethnographical museums in Europe, so as to enhance opportunities for collaboration, encourage the exchange of experiences and to facilitate exchanges of views on common issues.
The network is open for directors of large European museums with collections of non European culture. The size, mission, complexity and institutional setting of participating museums is such that directors face similar issues and are familiar with issues that their colleagues face.
Membership of the network is by invitation and application, and is decided by he Executive Council.  Other guests can be invited on a one-off basis, at the discretion of the Executive Council.
