Press is welcome to visit Museum Volkenkunde and the exhibitions during the opening hours. Please register your press visit in advance via, so that press material is ready on arrival.

Free access for the press is only possible after registration and permission from the Marketing & PR department.

All journalists must be able to submit a current press card and a business card during their press visit. The Marketing & PR department reserves the right to not honor requests for press visits.

Film and photography

Film- and photo shoots are only possible on request via;

  • Photography with flash and tripod is not allowed;
  • Objects (and other museum properties) may not be moved;
  • Film teams and photographers have to stick to the museum routing and are not allowed to go behind restricted areas.
  • Large bags and backpacks are not allowed in the museum.
