Learn to dance from Miss Crane, the dance teacher. The Japanese crane lives in northern Japan, in Hokkaido. Cranes are very popular in Japan. There are images of them everywhere: on airplanes, beverage bottles, clothing, and more. A hundred years ago, they were almost extinct; there were only 30 of them then. Many people started living in their habitat, so there was barely any space left for them. Thankfully, a group of farmers stood up for the cranes. They helped them to survive by giving them additional food in the winter.
The dance of the crane is world-famous. They not only dance to find a partner, but also to bond well with family, friends, and the group. The dance teacher will show you a few dance moves. Try to imitate these moves. Follow each other and dance together!
